Clarinda Library provides new tutoring service

The Lied Public Library in Clarinda is announcing a new tutoring service being provided by them online. Library Director Andrew Hoppmann says the library is partnering with a company called Brainfuse.

"We're really excited to offer the Brainfuse HelpNow service to our community.  And what that service is is actually the most exciting part is that every day from 2:00 in the afternoon to 11 at night, people are able to get live online tutoring help.  They can do that at the library, but they can also do it on any device that has an Internet connection."

Brainfuse HelpNow also has tutoring courses for adults looking to get their GEDs as well as courses to help adults learn important life skills. Hoppmann says that the new HelpNow program has courses for test preparation as well as their regular courses.

"There's also even practice exams for the HiSET, GED, ACT, SAT.  So there are study materials and resources there that they can access.  But also if you're just struggling in trying to learn a certain part of Pre-Calculus in high school, you're able to connect with a math tutor and have them help you and maybe demonstrate and figure out what's going on."

The Brainfuse HelpNow program is free to use and access. More information is available by contacting the Lied Public Library in Clarinda.
